I purchased my 4runner a little over a year and a half ago and had no plans to mod it at all....Then i found this website and that plan has changed.

Some pictures of my 4runner stock:

First thing i did after owning the 4runner for about 6 months was remove the running boards

Not to long after that i plastidipped my wheels black to see how i liked it. Well i loved it and plan on either getting new rims sometime or painting them for real but this has held up for a good while now. After that i did some easy stuff like clear corners and turn signals and led interior lights just to keep myslef busy while i saved up.

Then came the lift. I went with the ome 881 with top out spacers and 890's in the rear.

For a newbie that is thinking about a lift how hard are they to do and how much does it cost? I just spent money on an alignment so hopefully I won't have to do that again. I have a 97 Limited 4x4.

Well as most people would say to read the lift sticky since I just recently did this so... What I did was since I only have 62000 miles on my stock suspension all I wanted to do was replace the coils for some lift. That is not recommend if you will be doing any kind of flexing, which for now I won't so it cost me like $450 for toytec springs. As for the difficulty it wasn't actually to bad. I am only 17 and I got it done with a help of one friend in a total of about 8 hours. You should probably get an alignment after you mess with the front suspension also
