Some pricing info before you buy

Merry Christmas,

Was reading the paper this morning and a local dealer was advertising 07 4runners for $7000 off list. (which means they'll deal even more ..)

Which is good for those buying new.

For those who already bought (like me), none too happy.

Anyway thought it might help someone.

There is often a ton of dealer added crap included in the "list" price that they then reduce by $7K

Looked at the ad again.

They have 4 SR5 4x4's for $7K off. Have a package number next to it - not sure what that means, but most of the SR5 4x4's come packaged with the Moonroof, 17'' wheels, etc. in this area.

So this is a pretty good deal. It is at Capitol Toyota in San Jose.

This was just an fyi for the folks on the forum, perhaps you can call them up and get particulars and use that info to negotiate with the dealers in your area.

I know I didn't pay $7K below list, but it is something to keep in mind for next time - dealers can go much lower than what we think...

I just purchased a left over 07' Sport
4wd, V8 with JBL for $6000 off MSRP.
Turned out to be $2400 under invoice.
There was a $2000 rebate and they tapped into
the holdback for around $250. So they say.
This vehicle had no Toyota package BS added on.



I agree that most remaining 07's are SR5's with V6 and 2WD
because I was searching for 7 days until I found this one.
You may find a Limited left with an MSRP of $40K and up.
