Some sort of cap gone?

Noticed today that one cap in my engine bay seems to be gone:twitch:
(I seem to remember that a small gray plastic cap was there before and has a letter H on top)

It is the one circled in red in the attached picture.

Could someone let me know what it is for and also the name/part number so I could buy another one?

btw. Is it normal that it is just gone like this?

That is the "low pressure" side service valve for the air conditioner. The "gray" colored cap should have the letter "L" on it indicating the low pressure side. The plastic cap keeps dirt out of the service valve connection port. Go to your local auto parts store and show them the photo or have the counter person look at your 4 Runner. They should be able to find a replacement cap.

Are you saying this is a photo of your engine bay in its current state, or did you get this photo somewhere else?

I think its a stock photo he's using as a reference since he says his Low Pressure HVAC service port cap is missing.

They sell them at any Autoparts store, make sure you get the R134A caps; I don't remember if they still sell R12 caps, but its a different fitting.
