Some work tonight on the runner

Well tonight I got to spend some time working on the truck. Headed to Kraze place. With my truck and two other 99 Highlanders it is always good company.

Now first thing is first. Who ever the F had the bright idea to put lock tite on lugs nuts is a Fing retard. I have had my truck about 6 months or so and never too the front tires off. I'm glad I was not on the side of the road some place because holly hell. I broke a short 1/2in. extension on the breaker bar trying to break them loose. After some much love and drinking a can of man off they came.

I want to also thank Desert4Runner for the front bumper. He has a limited that was already colored matched to the truck. It was a perfect find and at no cost also. Thanks again man.

Thanks to Kraze and his roommate for all the help tonight getting the breaks done also. It was a good time burning the breaks in, he also threw in a very nice set of wheels and tires that were just sitting around the house.

A great 4Runner Day.

looks good man,

how do you like that rack on top? I am thinking of making one but been looking around at the cheaper alternatives.

Right? Here's the extension...

What brand tool was it? I have broken those on stuff that wasn't all that tight, but it was an off-brand. I've never had any of my craftsman stuff break on me. I've learned the hard way (via busted nuckles and hands), spending more on good tools once is better than buying cheap tools twice.

Locktite on lugs is absurd regardless.

It was an el cheapo HF one, which no doubt played a part in why it broke. Well, that and the loctite :bash:.

I've taken off my lugs a dozen or so times with that extension on and haven't had any problems though. These lug nuts were on tight! Tightest I've ever seen on a vehicle, that's for sure.

I love the roof rack. The only thing is the stock clips at weak, but I'm not putting allot of weight on it so what ever. I'm still pulling 20mph also after I fixed the A/F sensor. So there is little to no drag with it back that far.

I was going to say an HF special.

That, or Kraze saw a big spider somewhere in the distance and with Superman-like force hurled the extension in the direction of it to no avail in making it dead.

Nice Ol'Blue, the white/silver two tone with limited flares is my most fav color combo, 2nd would be all white. But I'm bias.

Congrats look forward to seeing more

Best regards....... 8sm
