I was able to polish a lot of it off with M105, but as you can see, there is quite a bit that is down to the plastic and will need to be repainted.

I might see if someone can touch it up and I'll call it good, who knows. Sure is a kick in the nuts I know that.

You might want to see if you can get a hold of one of those guys that travel in a van going from dealership to dealership doing 'patch' and touchup work on used cars. Some of them do a half decent job.

When I first moved out to Cali, my car's air dam was scratched up pretty bad by the tow company...one of those guys came to my house and repaired it in a few hours in my garage...never noticed it was even damaged.

Maybe you can contact your local dealer to see who they use or recommend...

same thing happened to mine in the exact spot last week, luckily they left a note and had insurance. If the bumper needs replacement like mine did then that's ~$900-1000 worth of damage for the bumper and fender flare.

Not to sound like an intelligent jackass here, but people do not suck! Maybe it's just me, but people who backs into other people's cars and does not leave a note with information on it are weaklings in my opinion and they should be severely punished for it! Unfortunately though, it's usually people of lower class who have really crappy cars that does not have great insurance or doesn't have insurance (aka uninsured motor vehicle, at least that's what it's called in the state of Virginia) in the first place so to avoid detection, they just drive away from the scene of the accident like pricks. Plus if you get into an accident and you're not insured, you're held liable for any damages caused to the other car


Did you park near any businesses? I bet if you parked super close to a store where they have security cameras with the zoom capability, you can ask the manager politely if they can go over the footage themselves (while you wait outside the door or something in case they're suspicious of your claims) to see if they can find the car with their plates showing that backed into you.

Someone backed into my mom's Z4 BMW a long time ago and I was the one driving it at the time. I parked near Wal-Mart (lol)'s front entrance where the cameras were pretty close by. I was very upset with what had happened because for starters, it's a BMW. BMW = crazy expensive price tags for parts. My mom trusted me with her BMW, and I was not about to come home and tell her that her BMW got damaged while I was in possession of it without proof. So because of that, I requested to speak with the security department whose head security was working at the time (thank god he was here). He sympathized with me realizing I was only 17 years old with zero experiences in accidents ( i had mixed feelings of anger and sadness at the time). He was able to identify the license plates when he reviewed the footage & burned it onto a disc for me to take it to the authorities. Needless to say, but I suspect Juwan will not leave the scene of an accident that he's involved in ever again!


Good luck with the repaint. Go after the loser vigorously if you're presented an opportunity to do so. SIC'EM!

This is quite the stereotype. I've known of a fair share of idiot drivers who come from wealthy families as well, it has nothing to do with their class. You don't sound like an intelligent jackass at all, more like an ignorant one.

I know its no consolation, but if its just the bumper cover & not into supports citytoyota parts sells covers for 180$ unprimed . Glad its not worse than that ! N no way does that do you any good over what happened & no one wants to have come out of pocket [except for mods] , dings I can handle but that just wrong !!!!

It's funny cause the one time I was backed into in a parking lot it was by a guy driving a Cadillac. The guy got out, looked at the damage and then started walking into the department store. I said something to him as he was walking away and he acted like he thought there was no damage even though my headlight was broken and the bumper pushed in. Being a jerk has nothing to do with economic status. I've seen jerks all the way up and down the scale. I've also met wonderful people all the way up and down the scale.
