Someone broke my bug shield!

Went to my car after school today and noticed thebug shield looked weird. As I got closer I noticed part of it about 8 inches long snapped off and the person put it back lying where its sorta supposed to be. I think someone got their backpack stuck on it as they were walking between cars.

So anyways. Anyone know some good places to get a good looking black bug sheild. If its not the Toyota one I had, I would like one in about the same style.

I'm still debating on if I should get another, but my car definately looks better with one on. its just getting old and I dunno if I wanna get one for only a bit of time.

I had one end of mine snap off while in a carwash... but i'm cheap so I glued it back on... If it's a larger peice it may be better to just get a new bugshield but I would definitely put one on, don't you have the little nubs underneath the bugshiel on the hood? It might look a little bit odd without a bugshield...

Nope, those knobs broke off a while ago somehow (all of em). So there was a bunch of glue in those spots. I took it off tho with a good amount of work.

Ah... When I looked for a new bug shield the ones I found were all ~$70+ which is why I went with $2 trim/molding adhesive.

I have an AVS one from Pep Boys for $45 and it installs literally in about a minute. It conforms nicely to the hood but still allows for a hand to fit behind it for easy cleaning of the hood edge. I've had mine on for over two years and it's mounted rock solid.

The cheapest thing to do is glue it back together. Take it off, get some good epoxy or something and glue it together, rough up the back (the part against the hood) and put a lot there to reinforce it, because you cant see that side when it is installed. I would try that first before I bought a new one, especially if your saying you don't think you will have your car too much longer.
