Their ads show up clear up here in the portland craigslist postings, they definitely know exactly what they have there.
 
Truck looks neglected.

From the looks of it, the Lbj failed and they realized that everything else on the truck was in near fail condition too. Not worth rebuilding so they scrap it for change.
 
Funny you should post this I stumbled accross it this morning its at a salvage yard in Sacramento I spoke to them today they want 1500 for the SC

$1500 just for a 1st gen SC?? Offer them $700, if it's in really good condition, and then walk away. It will surely need a rebuild. ...unless they can claim that it is newly rebuilt, then it is worth more; MAYBE the $1500.

I told them that was way too much and that it shouldn't be a penny over 700, I sold an almost new 2nd Gen with ~15,000 if I remember correctly with all the install kit and original paperwork and stickers and TRD emblems etc... it even had the mirror hang tag that said "congratulations" for 1200 two years ago :redbrick: I really really regret that!!!

I think the chances of that SC being newly rebuilt are about the same as me passing up a free bong hit -- highly unlikely.

I dont even understand how they ripped the leather seat bottom on the passenger side. Looks like they were torching their farts or something...

Dude...they're in California. There's no telling what they're smoking...but you know they're smoking something?!?! They have to be, because California prices are always crazy high. Hell, you live in Oregon...I'm surprised you don't get a contact high from being sandwich between California and Washington :hippie:
 
Nobody wants to pull the locker out of it? $1500 isn't that bad considering the SC is out of production & used prices are going up. Talk him down & have it rebuilt.

The guy who junked it is an idiot. I've seen trucks in this condition go for $2500 on e-bay & CL. If this was near me it would be in my yard by the end of the day.
This is worth a lot here in NY because there's no rust.
