Someone in Dallas/Fort Worth area...

I bought the 4runner in my signature recently and it came with 1 master key. I bought a new G replacement key with fob, the same one others in the forum have used, and had it cut and programmed at a local locksmith. They, however, could not program the fob remote. This may have been operator error but there is no way for me to tell.

I am hoping there is someone on her that has a working techstream set up. I do not have any old computers running XP. I appreciate any help. I'm in the Keller/Southlake area.

I am in the keller area as well. I dont have techstream, but i have carista if you want to change any of the vehicle options. I will see if i have any old laptops laying around.

Yes there are some things I'd like to mess with and probably things I didn't even know where possible. I'll PM you.

The carista does not allow you to program keys or remotes does it?

Then I am still on the hunt for someone with Techstream.

The more I read about it on here forums the less optimistic I get about getting a second key!

You can use Techstream on Windows 7. I'm a mobile programmer and all my programs that I use are on Windows 7.

I've seen on here that this can be done but it has some very complicated steps. You have to make sure you have the correct cord, which may or may not work when it shows up. My work laptop is running 7 enterprise 64-bit, has no disc drive, which adds more complication.

I always recommend using original equipment over clones (obviously). You can purchase a MongoosePro, which is a certified Toyota scanner and what is also used in Toyota dealerships.

You can use Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit. I run mine on Windows 7 Ultimate. Also, no disc drive is required.

This is mainly to save money over having it programmed at the dealer so that is out of the question for at this time. Good to know that is out there though.

I am still on the hunt for someone with working techstream. Cheap copy is fine with me.

You can run Windows XP on a Win 7 PC in a virtual machine. Or so I've been told.
