Someone stole my catalytic converter

I live in San Francisco and I'd heard about this happening, especially the Yota cats, but never figured it would happen to my '86. Anyways, besides being pissed off, I figure I might as well make the most of it. Anyone have any recommendations for a cat back exhaust system? I've been kinda looking at Magnaflow for a little while, but would like to hear from other 4runner owners. Thanks for any help!

I used to have a 3.0 with downey intake, downey header's and a magnaflow catback. It sounded real nice.

make sure you file a police report then your insurance company can pay for the new system. OE cat is very high price so the insurance company will love you if you reccomend and cheaper newer system.

My insurance is on top of it, can't recommend them enough- AAA. But the police could care less, he just said he would put it in the log.

I'm hoping the insurance company will be on board, right now I'm looking at a complete cat back from LC engineering for $700. Sound about right?

Yeah, I knew something wasn't right as soon as it roared to life. I got out of my truck to take a look, and sure enough, the cat's gone and all of its nuts and bolts are all over the ground. At least they didn't cut it and cause a lot of other damage. It sounded like the throatiest Yota I've ever heard. Actually made a car alarm go off driving up a hill in 2nd.

A garage would be heaven, winter hasn't been too kind for wrenching.

yeah, i guess the roar of the mighty 22re would have me looking under the hood and the chasis, too.

see this is waht happens when you get to strick on gun control people start taking things that dont belong to them.

You wouldnt think of trying to pull that kind of stuff up here you would get shot.
