Something ate my clear coat.

What would be the best way to fix this? I'm not sure what it was It looks like tree sap ate through it. It's not a paint chip so should I still consider Lanka or Drcolorchip? It's about the size of your thumb.

i got the same shit on the side of my truck too. best way is to get a color chip mask off the area about three inches each way and wetsand the spot and then have somebody spray it

i have a 2005 that just recently has been beat to crap in the hot el paso desert sun, i have a left front fender that is starting to bubble on the clearcoat already (59,000K miles), so i figured i would see what toyota had to say about it. the service manager saw it, and i could belive it but said "yea, that shouldn't be doing that already, ill take care of it and repaint it for you for free" . what customer service for an out of warranty vehicle!! Never hurts to ask! This was just 2 days ago.

Wow good dealership!

That looks pretty deep. Polish might make it less noticeable but those are the type of things that you have to catch right away or else they do that. To completely remove it, I think your gonna have to go to a paint shop.

Tree sap, bird crap, egg, soda... It is extremely important to get these things off immediately.
