I was at at busy intersection , professional area lot of business people driving around like crazy. I see a woman trying to run across the street to catch a bus carrying some bags , she was overweight , a little slow and had the pedestrian right of way but people kept making right turns in a big fricken hurry basically dodging around her . She drops her bag , fumbles to get it all as cars are whipping around her, tries picking them up , people not caring, ect... I pulled my 4R up an the median , put my 4 ways and dash lights on and helped her get her stuff and get to the bus , she was scared and a little slow or confused mentally , got her calmed down and to smile a little . Once I put my red/blue dash light on people seemed to pay attention a little and stopped at least.

Not that I did anything special but I just get blown away by the lack of concern for other people. Yes I'm used to it to an extent from work , but still c'mon , people can really be idiots !!!

Yeah, You should see how people drive around here. They try to pretend that they have the right of way, and that pedestrians are just an obstacle, and an inconvenience to their entire day. Glad to hear there are some good people left out there like yourself.

By the way, I'm guessing you are in law enforcement? What area, if you don't mind me asking?

Because of epidemic levels of ignorance, insensitivity and selfishness, I don't like people that much. I like my specific people but when I hear about some Hollywood brat in trouble, I see some breeder raising the next generation of homicidal maniac or hear the sewage that spews from Pelosi's mouth I just become afraid & sad.

Every now and then I have the opportunity to get out of the colon of the US (yeh, look at the map, I

You should have pointed her in the direction to the nearest nursing home! People like her need to be bed bound!

Just kidding!! That was nice of you, Falls. I sure hope that there are more people like you out there...but, like above, you just don't see that anymore. :(

Falls, I forgot what do you do for a living to have these red/blue dash lights. Do you have any pics of these lights?

I just have a dash flasher led. I have jurisdiction everywhere since I work for the U.S. Marshal service.

I've always been involved in law enforcement in some form or another full time and part time. I worked in Corp.sales for 15 years and made a good amount of money but hated it, so I retired from that (ha,ha) and just finishing my 7 year stint with with the USM which will give me health insurance for life. Very soon I'll be done with that chapter of my life.

Here is where it gets tricky..... I'm also a drummer by trade basically ( playing since I was 4 y/o ) I play everyday 2-3 hours. I also own a small business that I'm playing/developing with to see where it goes , but interestingly enough Im a certified EMHT (Emergency Mental Health Tech) and work at the mental health complex on the mobile urgent crisis team. Extremely interesting and fulfilling and sometimes just as dangerous as law enforcement.

I'm only 46 so I'm not sure what I'll do next or go from here. I'm fortunate to be where I am in life and always try to give back as much as I can. I have a passion for helping people who want to help themselves. It's late so I hope I typed all this correct.

I may even go back to school for something like Xray tech stuff , not sure though. I work from home now and work on call , so I pretty much have had freedom to do what I want , when I want.

Mike~

Wow Falls, or Mike if I may, I never realized how interesting of a person you are. Quite a few accomplishments, and I respect that. :bigok:

Falls, I would also check out Pharmacy technician. I heard that they make pretty good money and jobs are easy to find. It may be boring, but they make a good living.

Hey Mike, thanks for doing that man. Someone at that intersection saw what you did and will in turn help someone else. They will remember that.
