Something weird is going on

So after my lift i have noticed something a bit strange. its hard to describe so i didn't know how to search for it.

its a weird sound in the front suspension that happens when it springs back up after hitting a bump or driving it off a curb. it sounds almost as if something is loose and the frame/body are continuing upwards motion.

i initially thought the noise was happening when the springs were compressed but its actually after they spring back up that this happens.

its hard to explain. i have had someone drive off a curb while i'm watching the suspension work and i really have no idea what it could be.

any ideas?

is it a noise? clunking or banging? something like that? your post is kinda confusing

check your sway bar endlinks and skid plate bolts. basically make sure every bolt on the front end is snugged up.
(this is a pretty big shot in the dark--noises are hard to diagnose over the internets)

My best guess though is your lower control arm (a-arm) bushings. After lifting the bushings no longer sit where they have been for the last 10 odd years, they are usually worn and torn in places and on their way out and the lift accelerates this process.

sorry for it being so dark. its a noise/feeling... its not clunking, not banging... its more of a metal on metal sound but its not really loud or sudden. i checked all the bolts i turned when i did the lift. can't be the skid plate because the idiots at grease monkey didn't put it back right and damaged to the point where i couldn't put it back on.

i'm going to double check my sway bar end links and bushings as stated above but i'm pretty confident that it's been checked already.

dose it sound like a clanging sound? kinda like when a cv axel is lose inside the hub. i know mine makes a sound that clanges and it only dose it on certin types of bumps in the road. it did this when i bought it before lift. my taco i had had the same sound but it was the cv axel came out the hub and was flopping around in the hub.

I notice you're running tundra coils on 5100's.... I'll bet you a burrito it's this...

Check your coils and see if you have marks on them where the paint has been rubbed off as pictured in the 2nd photo above... if so, have a read through this thread for more info...

Maybe grease the U joints. That might not solve the problem, but it cant hurt. After putting my lift on, i had a squealy metal on metal sound. Kinda sounded like a mixture between jingle bells and crickets. I thought it was something w/ suspension but it ended up the U joints just needed greasing after being at a new angle.

So i didn't find signs of contact with the spindle and the coil... any other suggestions? i should add that is not a clunk sound i'm hearing... its not as abrupt as a clunk
