somthing alittle different???

so today i was thinking about frame swapping (just day dreaming) ive always thought it would be kinda cool if someone were to take a 4wd long bed frame and got 2 4runner tubs. cut one 4runner in half and set the front and rear down on frame then cut more section out of the other tub and fill in the gap.

still following me??? after all that it would be like a stretched 4runner. bob the rear end almost if not all the way enough to be able to set the top on without any mods. there would be like 10 more inches of room behind the back seats, long wheel base. throw some 35's or 36's on it.

haha i got creative with my paint program and this is what i came up with in like 5 min. not the best but you kinda get the point. i cant tell if i like it or not??? this could be a really fun build im lookin for input.

i just saw a long bed extra cab 2wd frame that had been turned into a 4wd frame, that would be HUGE! just day dreams i guess haha

I could see that. Personally, I'd sacrifice a little departure angle for a shorter wheelbase. And then instead of making a long hardtop I'd extend the cab roof over the rear seat and make it a 4 door.

It's a cool idea though. I dig it.

Cool idea :fro: Why not leave the top alone, put a bulk head in where the top ends and have a small pick up bed in the back. You should still have plenty of room for a second row of seating.

now you guys are starting to get into somthing like this... im not diggin it to much at all. i think the hard top going all the way back would be way cooler and just take it off if you wanted a bed
