The rock is over 5 lbs, and it easily could have killed me. Hit the truck so hard, the hard drive reset it self in the car. Luckily when I flinched, I didn't jerk the wheel or I would have driven off the edge of a 500+ foot cliff.

There was a guy from here in Dallas killed along that section a few years ago by a falling rock. He was in a jeep and hit by two rocks, one on the hood and one through the soft top into his hard top. The passenger had the presence of mind to gab the wheel and steer into the inside wall to avoid going over the edge. The Jeep turned over and she broke her arm but didn't become a second casualty.

As long as it's not a competition it should but you'd be better off reading your contract. It's much easier nowadays since most companies provide a PDF that's easily searchable.

As I was cruising around on the trails at the summit, I wondered how much this exact scenario happens. Glad you're okay though.

Thankfully, the only thing I busted was the CB antenna mount.
