Hey Guys, Just made a deposit on a 2005 Natural White 4x4 Limited with 157k on the clock! I've been looking for this car for a long time, called within 15 minutes of it going on craigslist and gave him a deposit! Car was driven by this guys wife and they got a divorce so it has to go! They just paid the lean off today, expedited title and I should have the car in my possession in about 10 days is what i'm guessing.

Super excited, I owned a 3rd gen years ago and ALWAYS regretted selling it. Anyways that being said... Just wanted to say what's up and look forward to talking with you guys/gals!

Haha, she does. She had to wire the money and sign the paperwork to pay the lean off. Sounds like the divorce was for the best and they are still being civil.
 
Man, im going through a divorce too. Sold her car and mine to get my runner. (Had her permission of course.)

Nice! I called on my 2004 4x4 v6 within a few minutes of it posting on craigslist. The seller put it on hold for me but said he got multiple phone calls after me with people offering money on the spot. Luckly the guy was nice enough to wait a few hours while I took off work to go see it. Loved it ever since! The go fast!
 
My 4G SR5 2WD

Bought new in 03, Sneaking up on 150k miles and very trouble free. Decided to invest a little cash and shoot for another 50k miles. Test drove a 2019 4Runner but would like to have all the safety features like the Tacomas have. Also did not care for the chrome trimmed interior.

Radio volume control has been a problem for the last year so just ordered JVC CarPlay/Android head unit and all new speakers from Crutchfield. Cyber Monday deal for $340 and free shipping. Will post my install results in January.

Planning to replace shocks and struts. Did the brakes myself 6 months ago.

I’d like to add fog lights but have not found any quality kits so far, searched forum 10 pages deep so far. Kits found on Amazon and eBay seem to be cheap knock offs that have lots of reviews complaining about water leaks and low intensity. I’d like to install in OEM location but not spend more than $300.

Moving to WA area that has real fog so not just for appearance.

Congrats! I don't own a 4Runner yet but am driving myself crazy looking for "the right one". Looking for 4th Gen as well. I think they look awesome.
 
Welcome to the white 4th gen club :D

Bought mine with 159k 2.5 years and 25k ago and the last 6 months is the first time I've had to do more than $50 in repairs to it (I've basically overhauled the suspension).
