sooo...bad weekend for 4runners..bus hit me

went out on the town friday night and got side swiped by a metro bus, it ripped of my side fender trim over the wheel and pushed in the corner of my bumper on the passenger side, all in all the damage isn't that bad, hurt my feelings more so then anything, just sad she got hit, you know.....so yeah sounds like a lot of crap went down for our runners this weekend, concrete barrier, trans problems in sears parking lots and this. lol


the metro incident response team took photo's and from the marks and where the bus and truck were when the accident happened they pretty much admitted fault, just wouldn't really say that because the world sucks and no one can just be honest when they f'up, didn't anyone's parents teach them anything ...lol, i just know i screw up daily and am not afraid to admit it
what's so hard about that, instead of making me go to court and waste more of my tax dollars....well anyways i'll post pics tomorrow, hope everyone has a safe weekend and enjoys themselves.

Ouch! That sucks. Did you call the cops and have an accident report filled out? Are they going to pay or are you going through insurance?

yeah i called the cops but they told me metro would handle it, i'm going to try and just get them to pay me instead of going after them with my insurance, the main thing i'm worrying about now is not getting sucked up and lost in the bureaucracy of it all.

if it comes to it i'll have to go through insurance and if i to do that they will be sorry, i just want what is right, but thats not the issue now as it's so new it's hard to tell whats going to happen, but the ball is in thier court, so we'll just have to see what happens....

either way i'm hoping for a new arb out of it instead of fixing the stock bumper i figure this might even be cheaper for everyone invovled.

on a side note though, my brush guard did save the headlight and turn signals from damage, it's hard to tell how hard it got it but there is some damage on it over the light guards..... i'll post pics of that as well.
 
Sorry to hear about your experience! Is it me or have bus drivers gotten worse, damn RABA in my area are idiots and just pull out into traffic. Kinda like London buses. The shatty part is that all the litigation and other bureaucratic trash that might make it a lengthy process, I hope not for your care. The upside ARB is looking like a great option! Glad your okay.
 
Most members here seem to recover well from accidents. I hardly ever here of injury, parts are often upgraded, and runners can take whatever shit you put it through. Hell, the ARB bumpers and sport hoods almost make me think the accidents aren't accidents at all ;):

but yeah thanks for the love guys, I was upset about it on friday but nothing a good session with my buddy Jack Daniel's wouldn't cure, so yeah i'll get some photo's up on my lunch break today guy and to be honest it was not very bad at all, i could have lost the whole front end luckily i stepped on the breaks n time and just sat and watched as the bus hit me, lol
