sOOO i just got a 4th GEN!!!

yesterday i got a 4th gen... and today sunday I DID MY FIRST MOD, less than 24 hours since i got it, i swapped my TRD FJ wheels onto my 4th gen... here are some pics...

i also want to paint that silver piece in the middle of the bumper black... or if any of you black 4th gens want the silver middle we can do a straight swap... anyways let me know what you guys think...

Looks good, but may I ask why you would want to go black, and not color key it to the rest of your truck? If you painted the silver part in the front to match the black plastic above it, won't it look odd having it silver in the back still? And you obviously can't paint the rear one black.....

i want to paint the BOTH rear and front silver pieces in the middle of the bumper black because they do not match my roof rack as my roof rack is black... i like the darker colors... so the silver would just stand out...

just out of curiousity why can't i paint the one in the back...

You never see anyone paint their bumpers yellow anymore.......

You can paint them, I think it's a good idea. I am merely wondering why you would paint it black on a truck that is either Shadow Mica or Galactic Grey (can't tell from the pics) rather than painting the silver pieces to match the body color?

it's galactic grey, but i want to paint them merely because i like the contrast... and i will be the ONLY one with them... @ least i think i will be...

The roof racks and running boards are black and a lot of people put black bull bars on. I think it would be a unique look.


......still pushing for the yellow hotness though....:biggrin2:

Yeah, I don't know about the yellow, but the black will definitely be unique, and might just very well look awesome. Let us know if you decide to go through with it. You have me very curious.
