as I really like the Toyota 4 Runner and am hungry for knowage of the 4 Runner as when I have the means I want to get a 4X4 that can handel off roading and not have to worry alot about realibility issues, I used to own a Jeep, but I would want to buy a Jeep now.

welcome to the forum! both of you are doing the right thing, so don't feel bad at all!

this is a good way to shop for a new car. explore the forums of the cars you are interested in and check the comparisons/reviews and problems/warranty sections. it helps you greatly in your decision making. I did the same thing before i bought the 4runner, but i didn't register until i got it. :

When I started looking for a new car i wasn't sure if it was right time for me to buy it. However I found this forum and after few days of reading I knew that this was car I want. Then it took me about 2 weeks to find right price and since then I've been proud owner of a 4R. One thing is for sure.. as You spend more and more time surfing on this forum You will want to get new 4Runner more and more everyday. I hope You will be able to get you 4Runner sooner or later and it is way better than Jeep

My wife and i agreed to start saving up for a new 4 Runner as she got a better paying job and it is more doable.
I want to test one out to see how good they are.

I did the same thing before I got mine. I lurked on this board for a couple of months. I was thinking of waiting until this spring but after looking at the gallery and other pics, I just couldn't stand it anymore and bought one on Nov 1st . Well, it helped that I got it for $1200 under invoice.

There's a lot of great info here and yotatech.com. This board is more fun though .

I went and test drove one today and fell in love with it, now it is a matter if geting the funds in place(could take a while) but worth the wait, great vehicle! I'll never look at a jeep the same again.
