SOS Supercharger Kits

Just incase if someones interested in a supercharger kit heres an email reply I got from SOS Performance.

My email to them~
I was just on your site today and noticed that you are selling or about to
release the SOS Supercharger kits for the Toyota Tundras. I was just
wondering if that kit is compatible with the new 2003-2005 Toyota 4 Runners,
considering that it has the similar 4.7 liter V8 motor. Any info will be
greatly appreciated. Also is are you guys going to be developing anything
for the 2003-2006 Toyota 4Runners? Im pretty sure that alot of folks on
T4R.org is wondering if there is any aftermarket parts for our SUVs.

Hi, we have the 2 kits now. 2000-04 Tundra & 2005-06 Tundra w/ VVT. Im pretty sury they will fit a 4 runner. Where are you located??

based on the pictures and write up its a procharger with an intercooler but i cant tell if its air to air or air to water... but it looks like an air to air setup.

the intercooler looks like a pretty beefy


Actually they are apparently gonig to be at SEMA and since im going to be attending, i can speak with them there as well.

I guess noting came of this. I personally think ProChargers are the best superchargers out there, have experiece with them and would love a kit on my 4Runner.

nope never talked to them, i decided that i wasnt going to supercharge the 4runner...although those headers are calling me.

Mole, why does the relocation of the battery put you off?

I agree, battery relocation is not a big deal, especially relative to the rest of the work. Since I only live 275 miles away I may give them a call and see what they think..

The only problem would be warranty, any failure would probably be NOT covered, even trans problems. That's what is great about the TRD blower, you get a full warranty.

so true but thats what sucks for us VVTi guys...we cant get the blower. BOO TRD, BOO!

The only instance that i see would be a problem would be the tuning, and its ability to prevent pre ignition/detonation (although with a 9th injector and IC, chances are slim) but also how the ring package would take to boost. In my previous supercharger setup, the rings are currently shot at less than 10K miles on the entire engine since being low compression rebuilt.

Im going to talk to these guys as well.

05 4runner in need of HP

I nave been asking around and have found you guys inthis thread look like you know the most about superchargers. I have had my runner for 10 months and have 20000 miles on it. I want to do it and need some help finding who I should talk to to get into it. I dont know enough about them to just jump right in but I think I could learn alot here. any help would be appreciated but alot of help is needed.....
