sound while engaging footbrake

Hello guys i've been lurking this forum for a bit now. Recently my footbrake has begun to squeek when i engage it, i'm thinking it may need some lubing since its coming from the right rear area of my truck. was wondering if any of yall experienced this yet and have found a solution to it.

Also when i park my car and put the shifter onto "P" if my car moves back a lil bit i always hear like a loud snap as if something is popping. I have entirely no clue what it is, and wondering if any of you know also.

Grease all Zerk fittings on the drive shafts and try to lube up the Parking break cable. It's a basic approach but it's all I can think of.

Since the parking brake system is cable operated, I would look at the points where the cables enter the rear wheels. Probably just need lubrication.

As for the trans noise; In order for 'Park' to hold an automatic trans, they use a parking pawl to engage a sprocket inside the trans which locks the output shaft and keeps the vehicle from rolling. If the pawl hits on a tooth of the sprocket when first engaged, it will not hold until the vehicle rolls a bit and lets the pawl move off the tooth and drop into the gap between teeth. You may be hearing the pawl snap into place as the vehicle rolls slightly before it engages.

I had someone push the foot brake slowly until i found out where it was coming from.. it seems to be coming from inside the rear left brake system.. i haven't gotten to lubing it yet since we just finished putting in my Alpine system, but i'll get to it asap. I'll see what happens when i lube it up... I appreciate everyones help btw sorry i took a bit to respond was busy past 2 days.
