Source to buy brake pads?

Looking for recommendations on where to buy new OEM front and rear brake pads. It appears there are different choices: TRD and "regular"? I actually see 3 different part #'s. TRD pads are $90 a set - regular around $45.
Any experience and guidance is appreciated!

I think the difference is the color/branding on the TRD pads

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the regular might be semi-metallic. I changed mine to ceramic after about 5,000 miles because I couldn't stand the dust anymore. Maybe the more expensive pads are ceramic.

There isn't anything special about the TRD pads, they aren't worth the extra money. Toyota uses full ceramic as the OEM pad materiel and it is plenty for the runner. OE pads usually go anywhere from 40-70k miles, depending on driving habits. Best choice, IMO. The part # for your OEM pads should be 04465-60320. MSRP should be right around $60.00

So if the OE pads are ceramic, why was there so much dust? Most ceramic pads have very little dust.

I'm actually surprised to hear you mention dust issues. I have never once noticed brake dust on my rims. I'm on my second set of OEM pads and have been very impressed with the lack of dust.

I went with Carbotech pads on my 3rd gen. They were so good that I no longer felt the need to do the tundra brake swap.

Called them directly, they didn't have any on the shelf, but after giving them info on year of truck and engine etc, they built me up a set and shipped them out without too much delay. Guessing they could do the same for 5th gens

They do deposit some reddish dust, but it's small price to pay for much improved braking. I actually don't mind the look of the dust on my black plastidipped wheels.

Yes, I have a 2016 SR5 premium and the dust was terrible. I believe I have centric ceramic pads on now and they have very little dust but don't have nearly the bite of the OEM pads.

I'm running OE pads on my 2013 and I don't think they produce much dust. And I have gold/light bronze wheels.
