So we know you guys are very anxious and wanted to let you see some of the process and progress we are making. Currently working on a batch of 10 bumpers and have changed up our producton schedule a bit to produce all of the batch concurrently and then ship all of them within days of each other. We'll do this in batches of 10 until they are complete. We're able to produce the bumpers much faster this way.
We also moved shops since the last time I made an update, which was a necessity to accomodate the manpower to get these done. Unfortunately that ate up about a week of time as you dont realize how much crap you've got until you have to up and move it all. We're back on track now though and all of our machines are finally operation again, after having to rewire the shop to accomodate all of our 220v equipment.
We'll be working through the holiday weekend too, because we know how patient ya'll have been and want to get these out the door as quickly as possible. I've got these 10 centers and wings to be fully welded and cleaned scheduled to be complete by the beginning of next week. Then its only a matter of matching orders to swing arm options and out the door they go!

This weld to be ground down smooth and sanded down to a 120 grit finish.
Swing arm jig to guarantee spacing and correct tolerance
Rolling the wing end caps
This one is nearly ready for its swing arms. Needs to be cleaned as the Louisiana humidity sets in overnight. Any bare metal bumpers will be lightly oil and wrapped in plastic to help prevent any rusting.
We've got every available man on this job to get these out the door. Both of these guys even volunteered to work over the Indepenence day weekend to get it done.

I dont think I've shown you the production version of the bumper to truck cover piece. It fits nicely and is strong enough to bare significant weight.
The edge trim will be apart of the package
Once again, we'd like to thank you for not storming the castle and I hope you can see we are well underway to cranking these out on a daily basis. I get that one offers more clearance, but do you have a side by side so I can see the difference? This is a bumper that I am very interested in, but I'd like to see the difference in the two bumpers if you can show me, thanks.

Thank you thank you thank you! That bumper to truck cover piece is sick! I was wondering about that as most other bumper manufacturers leave that piece out. You guys are pushing quality to a new level, nice work. Now I'm just waiting for the model in a bikini and my bumper and all will be right with the world. Thanks again.
7 pin socket relocation would be good if there is enough factory cable. Not interested in splicing it.
Maybe a Trax Mount too?
Antenna mount options would be nice. Although currently I'm using a tie down hole on my bajarack.

We ordered our's last week... settling in for the wait as best as we can.
Specs: Dual swing outs. Passenger side with spare tire, hi-jack mount, and camera relocate. Driver side with ladder and swing away rotopax mount.
Color: Powder coated silver to match our front slim line.
Special requests: 7 Pin socket relocation to bumper face to move it out of harms way. We've almost crushed the Turtleback's cable a few times... the metal rear bumper will be much less forgiving against rocks.
Also, I'd like to mount a quad band antenna for my future FT-8900 mobile unit somewhere on the assembly but haven't got to talk to Kevin in detail yet on these special items.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's bumper installs!

I will write a more detailed review as I get more use out of the bumper but here are my initial thoughts.
I love the high clearance of the bumper, the camp table, the jerry can holder, the hi-lift mount and that the rear camera still works. I also like that I was able to mount the Worthington 6lb aluminum tank and mount without having to modify anything. The side step and LED lights inside the step are awesome! The flush mount Rigid SRM2's in the rear are a huge improvement for rear visibility at night. Works great for camp lights as well. Oh and the side ladder, It is SOLID. I've climbed up and down this thing while setting up and breaking down my RTT numerous times now and I've had no issues with it. Kevin and his team over at SSO are top notch! Do not hesitate to do business with them. I've got nothing but good things to say about SSO and their products.
I also swapped out the rear Icon 2" springs for the newer Icon 3" Overland springs to support the extra weight of the bumper. So far the ride is fantastic. No issues with anything. I also removed my rear sway bar just to see how the rig would feel and it feels great. No issues with day to day driving. This is still my family daily driver.
On to the pics. More pics in my build thread below.

[MENTION=78318]RiDE[/MENTION] is there a reason you had the bumper powder coated yourself vs having sso powder coat it? Just cost? Would the color be really different from your shrockworks bumper? Just curios because I am waiting on the shrockworks front bumper and love the sso but I would like to have them powder coat it but I would hope it would match.

Just to save some time. I needed to get the bumper on my rig before NW Overland Rally and it was going to be quicker for me to get it dont locally as opposed to going with SSO's powdercoater. I brought my rig to my local powdercoater and they matched the powder of the Shrockworks bumper.

The SRMs would be plenty bright enough for most anything. But [MENTION=78318]RiDE[/MENTION] is a baller! So he went with the SRM2s.

the light output is plenty bright. I still have a pair of brand new Rigid flush mount diffused SRM's that I am needing to sell. I was originally just going to go with the regular SRM but I ended up getting a deal on some SRM2's from another board member and went with those instead. Im sure the regular SRM's are plenty bright. If anyone is needing a set LMK. Selling a brand new Rigid SRM flush mount back up light kit for $180 shipped. Amazon sells for $190.
SRM- 784 lumens
SSRM2- 1125 lumens
I will get some night pics up of the light output.

Looking forward to night pics.
I was just up in Lake Tahoe and had to back down a 200' narrow road to the driveway of the cabin we rented. Could not do it at night, too dangerous.
The SRMs probably would have given me enough light to do it.
Are your SRM2s triggered by your oem reverse light switch or do you have a separate switch to control that excessive light output?

Did you custom make those straps for the LP tank or were you able to find some pre made options? It a great idea I would love to copy.
