Started working on putting the bumber on after work at 530, finished right about 10PM with a break for dinner. Did it by myself as I didn't have anyone available to help me out. Wasn't too bad, besides the m12 bolts being a PITA and not wanting to thread at first. All in all a pretty painless bumbper install!

Thanks! My heart was racing when I whipped out the dremel to start cutting on the bumber. My poor girl!

Also, a heads up for anyone that hasn't installed theirs yet! Wear eye protection when you are cutting up your bumber. I got some hot ass plastic in the eye. Learned my lesson and grabbed my eye pro!

Mine was super easy. I paid [MENTION=110183]SouthernSS[/MENTION] to do it at a shop in New Orleans while I watched and made helpful suggestions...... :hiding:

PS: Some of the pictures in the installation manual are from that day, so I wasn't completely useless.

The most difficult part seemed to be the trimming of the bumper. Since you have a Trail you already have the template mounted on the front. Just mark your cut line with a Sharpie around the gray/silver bumper cover before removing it and you'll be golden. Take it slow and don't get in a hurry. The plastic is actually very easy to cut. I trimmed my fenders to clear my tires with a boxcutter knife. Obviously an extra pair of hands would be handy to mount the bumper, but Kevin really simplified that by adding the hanging brackets.

Actually, the hardest part was working up the nerve to cut into the bumper of a 6 mo the old 4Runner [emoji12]. After that, it went easy. I used a ripsaw blade on my Dremel and it went through it like butter. Take your time and stop to reposition your hands every few inches and it goes smooth. Everything else was just a matter of putting bolts and push pins back in the right spot. Easy.

I was considering driving there to have it done if possible, which also helps save on shipping I'm in San Antonio but have a friend I wouldn't mind visiting in Louisiana. I just moved here and am not setup to do much work yet and would need to find a garage anyway.
