Spacer Lift??

I'm currently looking at getting the Daystar 2.5/1.5 and I had a few questions. I don't want to change the springs or anything like that. I love the ride quality as is. I was mostly wondering if anyone on here has had any driveline vibration? hopefully the lift isn't enough to cause anything like that. My plan would be to simply put the spacers on, and get an alignment. Does this seem to work for everyone else?? are there any problems with going this route? thanks in advance!!:D

Drives almost exactly the same as before. Just a bit of wander on the hwy but not very noticable. Make sure the guy who does the alignment does a good job. The caster should be just at the edge of tolerance with the camber at 0.0

i put a 2.5 coil spring spacer lift on my 98 4runner. only thing i went ahead and bought was some rancho 0-2.5" taller rear shocks.. and while puttin the back on i had a problem w. the pan hard bar but i compressed the rear shocks so the pan hard bar was closer and i took a ratchet strap and hooked one side the right side frame and the other to the left bottom sock mount and tightend it and it pulled the rear axel like the extra 1/2"'s i need to get the bolt threw.

but after the alighnment the ride quality is good! i love it and i just got sum nitto a/t 31"s on it. soon to be 33"s!

i got the lift and shocks from ebay and everything was around $220. which is really cheap! but everything was the right part. just have to pay attention to what your buying

I've got the DS 2.5/1.5 with no probs thus far, less nose dive when turning and braking, ride quality seems to be VERY close to stock

ok awewsome.. I read the guide one of the members posted and it seems like I can manage it, just have to deal with the hydrolics

Unless you used the DS front lift that has a pre-load spacer, you shuold have the exact same nose dive and a little more roll when turning. You haven't done anything to make your suspension stiffer, so the nose dive will stay the same. It could just seem to be less since the nose is higher to begin with.

As far as roll, the center of gravity is now higher as well which will cause more roll.

Unless you put on stiffer coils, shocks or sway bars the ride will only get worse the more you lift it using just spacers.

I recommend the Cornfed kit over Daystar. The front spacers are made of aluminum. They can never sag over time. This has been known to happen with the Daystars. This was explained to me by Jason of Berkman Industries.

Mine came out ok w FJ springs, bilstein 5100 and daystar spacers 1/1.5
