spacer vs coil over lift?

spacer = cosmetic improvement only, but cheaper.

coilover = better performance and cosmetic improvement, but more expensive.

Do some searching, the suspension options have been discussed at length here and at other forums. Here is some good info regarding many of the susp. options available and some brief info on how suitable each option is for going off road.

I have a spacer in the front and saving to upgrade to a complete 2.5" OME to match the rear. It was inexpensive and didn't take long to install. I wheel mild trails and have had no hangups, the ride feels still stock, however I do want the performance of having better springs and shocks upfront for doing a lil more wheeling with confidence.

I am finally getting ready to drop the money on some coilovers, if you would like to buy my spacers off me let me know. I have wheeled my truck pretty hard and have yet to have any problems with them.

Not exactly. Even a spacer lift will raise the undercarriage up off the ground, providing more clearance for driving offroad.
