Spam Pop-up Charter Communications Prize

Is anyone getting hit with a spam re-direct to a supposed Charter Communications “Prize” page while on the site? It only happens when I’m on T4R and usually when I hit the Group Buy forum.

There are lots of popups here lately and a lot of annoying adds all over the place. Admin says he's working on it, I haven't seen any changes. One day there was none, the next they were all over, been this way for a couple weeks now. There was really never any issues here until recently. Always something with this page lately though, not sure what changed but it wasn't a smart move.

I am getting the prize popup you mention. It’s not a popup per se... it’s actually a redirect. It happens when I visit any page, not just the group buy forum. I’m not talking about all the banner ads that are all over the place. Those are for legitimate products. The charter prize redirect is a scam. It happens when I view this forum on my iPad.

Yeah having the same thing happen. This is something that really needs to be resolved. This seems to happen every month or so.

Mine is for Amazon. Apparently, I’m the luck winner of a $1,000 prize and all I have to do is enter my info! Sweet!

These pop ups only seem to happen to me on my iPhone, so I installed malware bytes from the App Store and no more pop ups so far (only been using it for two days). The ad blocker is free, and seems to work great.

Do yourself a favor and install uBlock Origin on chrome, if you are on a handheld device download a content blocker app. (sorry site owner, not getting my ad clicks)
