Spare tire with old tires?

Well, my OEM Michelin's finally gave up after 65K miles, or one of them to be correct. I have a buldge right in a middle of thread where tire was previously fixed. So I will be putting a spare on tonight.
How long can I drive with spare in front without damaging differentials? I currently trying to decide on my next tire and due to limited availability in small canadian city I'm trying to decide between Goodyear Silent Armor and D*ck Ceepek Radial FC II. May be a weekend before I purchase new set. Am I ok for a week or so?

Forever assuming you're talking the OE tires. The spare should be a full sized Mich 265/65/17. The slight difference in OD due to fresh tread vs no tread shouldn't be enough to worry about unless you're going to put it on and crank off 6000miles at 90mph.

thanks. Spare is brand new OEM Michelin X-Terrain, same size just not worn at all

i had to use a spare because one of my rear tires got torn up by something on the highway. what i ended up doing was getting a brand new michelin tire so it would match on the rear axle so i have 2 new tires on the rear and the used one under the truck as the spare. I'll have to replace the front tires in about 10k miles but its better than buying 4 new tires at once.
