Spare Tire

I recently installed 265/70/17's on my truck...including the spare. I decided to wash the spare tire with a hire pressure hose to get the accumulated mud off. I discoverd the tire to spin around and shake as I washed it off.:bugeye:

I don't remember the stock tire moving like that.
Sooo can I tighten it up or is that the way it fits because of the size?

Just get out your crank and tighten the cable.

Also, you might want to rotate it underneath in such a way to easily access the valve stem. I did this so I can easily check the pressure when I do my tire checks. It beats having to drop it down every time. Also, the rear end of the tire usually seats higher than the front end when mounted underneath in case you wonder.

To think (way)back in the day I changed my own oil and tires. I buy a 4R and I loose all common sense. Hate to see how mechanically lazy I'd get if I owned a Land Cruiser.

Yup, I noticed the position of the valve stem... and ya guessed right; I questioned the position of the tire. Good to go!
