So I got a flat tire on my right front...supposedly the valve is broken and my local tire guy will not repair it...He claims that I have to bring it to an authorized toyota dealership as the problem deal with the TPMS and they are the only ones that can look at it.
I'm in a bind though....the cost of them looking at the tire will be about 250, and it's money I really don't want to spend if not necessary.
Anyone have any other suggestions? Is this really true that only Toyota can handle this tire fixing and the TPMS fixing? Or can I still get the tire fixed without fixing the TPMS? As I have found the TPMS to be relatively useless and would just prefer to the get the tire fixed at a much cheaper price...
