Spare wheel size with SCS wheels

Hey guys,
I have tried to search but haven't found anything definitive about spare wheel size when replacing wheels. Im getting the SCS SR8 17x8.5 -10mm and 265/70/17s for my 2015 LE.

My question is can I just buy a off-road wheel and throw that under the truck as a spare? The weight/offsets are a little different, buy ultimately same size (17in). Also, its fulltime 4x4 so don't know if that would also affect my situation. Hoping not to spend an extra $200 on a spare that will never see the light of day (hopefully). Any input? TIA!

Get the same size tire and you are good. Spent about 30 bucks at discount for a take off tire.

Thanks mutant. Obviously decided to go another route. Didn't mean to string you along. Honestly I would've bought them that day if it worked out. But I'm excited for these SR8's, basically upgraded version of those OEM wheels.
