Spark plug blew off head and damaged ignition coil. Help?

I have a 2002 4Runner with over 387,000 miles. Two days ago it started chugging and missing, went to check out the engine and the spark plug had dislodged itself and shredded the ignition coil, the electrode was missing. Checked to see if piston was damaged but doesn't seem like it. Any thoughts? Can I rethread the head and install new spark plug and coil? Thank you for any help.

You probably won't get away with just chasing the threads, you're going to need to repair them. I can't tell you how well Helicoil or the NAPA brand will work on a spark plug, I've never had to use one there. Timecerts are supposed to be the best, but spendy.

It may be easier to buy a reman head and let someone else deal with the thread repair.

Thank you all for your help, I was able to re-thread the head with it still on using "Sav-A-Thread", screwed in the tapping bolt, then added the insert thread using a spark plug with red thread locker. Lots of aluminum shavings but used a vacuum to get them all out. Thankfully the valves and piston didn't get messed up and it's running very well.
