Cracked/Split Ignition Coils - 4.7L V8

Swapped out my Spark Plugs and realized about 6 out of 8 Ignition Coils are Cracked/Split. The cracks are less than 1/8" wide and it doesn't appear as if any material is flaking off.

I'm assuming I will have to replace these at some point but am hoping I may be able to put it off until I can set some funds aside for this.

Should I be concerned about operating the engine with my Ignition Coils in this condition?

Considering OEM replacements are $55/each, i'm trying to gauge how long I can put this off without causing any damage.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Worst case scenario is that the engine will start running badly and throwing codes.

I've seen that at the JY. I would carry a few spares and tools.

I'll have to see if any local yards have any 4th gens sitting around. I appreciate the suggestion!

I have several cracked ones on mine, I put some "super glue" in each crack and reinstalled, don't notice any problems, runs fine.

I replaced all 8 at 200,000 miles with densos from rock auto along with denso plugs. It wasn’t cheap but I figured it was cheap insurance against a failure and ruining a CAT.

Look at 4.7L in Tundras and Sequoias, I think coils are the same. I found four Denso coils from a Scion xB for spares for my V6. I have already used one of them.

Look at 4.7L in Tundras and Sequoias, I think coils are the same. I found four Denso coils from a Scion xB for spares for my V6. I have already used one of them.

Look at Land Cruisers as well, as long as it's the 4.7 engine all of the coils are the same, the 5.7 engine ARE NOT the same coils.

I would also only get any that are Toyota OEM or Denso, avoid any others.
