Spark Plug & Gear Oil Change

Just purchased a 2006 4 Runner Limited. The truck has 76,000 miles and has been maintained very well according to the carfax.

At 80k it will be due for the spark plugs and gear oil changes (Diffs & Transfer Case) Not sure why they did these services @ 50k.

I was thinking of waiting until 90k to service both of these items. I do not do any towing and the car is driving great.

Any reason why it would be absolutely necessary to make the change at 80k vs 90k?

reading around these forums, i've read that people have gone 120k-150k without changing the gear oils without any (immediate) problems.

Having said that, to ensure the longevity of the car, you should try to follow the maintenance schedule as (reasonable) close as possible.

But in the grand scheme of things, I doubt changing it at 80k or 90k will make a huge difference
