Spark Plug replacement

Sorry, but SEARCH isn't working on my tablet and my laptop crapped the bed...

At what mileage are you guys replacing plugs? I replaced my factory plugs with another set of Denso on my 2008 4.0L, non-modded except CAI, at about 90,000 despite that they still looked good. I have 180,000 and other than my fuel mileage down a tad ( and I suspect not plug related) she runs like a top. I have a fresh set of Denso's but I'm wondering if I should just hold off. At 65 yo, you have to consider reducing the necessary workload...:doh:

If the V6 is the same as the V8 and uses the iridium plugs, then the interval is 120k miles.

Edit: just did a search and found that the V6 uses copper plugs, so don't listen to me! The copper plugs are recommended every 30k miles, but I think that's a bit ridiculous. But since you're at 3 times the recommended mileage on copper plugs, I would change them.

v6 does not use iridium.

You have the V6, so every 30,000 with "normal" plugs. I get them from Toyota. I like peace of mind. Anyway, some will recommend iridium plugs which you shouldn't do. Those last for 100,000 miles in theory, but our motors are not designed for that. I've seen/heard/read about these (iridium) plugs fouling up. Manufacturer recommends normal copper plugs. I run Denso plugs and/or NGKs (on my other cars). I understand about "work load", luckily the plugs are easy to do on our V6s.

Go ahead and install them, looks like you are overdue.

I replaced them at 90,000 miles with K20HR-U11 despite that they looked like they had barely 20k on them. I've put another 90,000 miles on the current set and the engine still runs great. I already have another set on-hand so I'll get around to it. I was simply curious what others are seeing.

FYI, the Denso website list these plug's electrodes as nickel.
