Spark Plug Tube Seal

Getting ready to do a tune up and new to the 4Runner. While I was doing some parts ordering online I came across these "Spark Plug Tube Seal" on Rockauto.

Also there is an item called a "Spark Plug Boot" what the hell is that?

Are these necessary to purchase when doing a spark plug and plug wire change? I just want to make sure I have all the necessary parts before I start this project. BTW...not that it is any major mechanical work but I searched and didn't find any write-ups concerning changing the above mentioned items. Anyone know if this has been written up yet?

well for the 3.4 engine those products you mention are not needed. on one side you have the coil packs so they seal up fine, on the other side the boots have a seal at the top. those products would be handy for wire sets that do not have the seal at the top to keep debris out. but for the 3.4 wires you should be fine getting denso or ngk
