Spark plug wire resistance

What should the resistance be? The dealer told me I needed new wires, but before I change them I wanted to check the resistance. The ones on the driver's side all read between 5.5 and 6.5k, and the passenger side were 13.5k, 15.5k, and 16.5k respectively from front to back. Anyone know if that's about right?

First of all, you should include your vehicle info with every post... better yet, post the specs of your vehicle in your signature so that it shows up with all your posts.

Second, assuming you have a V6 3.0L, you are fine. Maximum resistance for all six sparkplug wires on that engine is 25 kohm, doesn't matter if it's driver side or the longer passenger side ones. If the insulation on the wires is damaged, you should replace them.

I wouldn't worry about what the normal resistance should be.....I would be worried about the large different between the driver and passenger side. All wires should read in the same general area of each other.....that difference between driver and passenger is pretty big...
