I found a label on my engine today that said use dual electrode spark plugs. If this is true what ones should I get?

good question, not really sure. I know my local parts houses dont carry oem stuff, they have their own house brands and the name brand stuff like ngk, bosch etc. cant say for you, but hopefully you have a dealer near you.

OEM is NGK or Denso. 4Runners were built with 3 of each in the V6. Dealers in the US stock the Denso's as part #90919-01192.

Pick up either of these just about anywhere: NipponDenso # K16TR11 or NGK # BKR5EKB-11 (both are the OEM numbers.) I get my NGK's at NAPA because it's two miles away. Stay away from Bosch, or anything else, for that matter. The "11" at the end on both refers to a 1.1mm gap, just in case that was the next question.

I ran Bosch 4 prong for the last 8 years in my 4runner and they were awesome, I am running the OEM plugs and wires this time because of this exact debate, I am comparing the OEM to the Bosch 4 prong which I love. my only comment to this point is that you definitely dont want to get aftermarket plug wires unless you want a broken wire when you change them and spend your time picking rubber out of your plug cylinder.
