Spark Wires weak?

Hi all, i've been having the Engine hesitations for a while and i've read around and found pretty much the same scenario. I have new OEM plugs that i just got not too long ago, so i guessed it would be my cables. Today I finally got time to work on my baby at 36F, and what i noticed is this:

Plugs condition: Excellent
Wires condition: Good (OEM i suppose)
Wires Resistance:
Wire1: 15.8 KOhm
Wire2: 16.4 KOhm
Wire3: 21.0 KOhm

Now, i was thinking to buy the Beck/Arnley set which seems better than OEM(NGK) or Bosch.

My Question from you experts is: Do i need to check the coils on the other three plugs? and how? Or should i just but the wire set anyway?

Yep, it has been a bit chilly around here lately.

As for your issue, I have never had a problem with any OEM wires on any vehicle I have ever owned....except for the 4Runner. I had one that went bad and was causing hesitations and throwing a CEL (IIRC, P302). Has it given you any codes?

I had the same issues and replaced wires and plugs and all my problems went away. Everything I have read says use the factory wires and factory denso plugs.

I also had a Toyota mechanic say the same thing.

My Toyota 4Runner FSM calls for a maximum resistance of 25K Ohms per cord so you are within spec. Wires can also fail because of degraded insulation losing spark energy to ground. An old tractor mechanic trick is to check the wires in complete darkness for little blue leakage flashes; easy in a barn, not so much in suburbia or the big city. If you try it in a closed garage, you can kill yourself if you don't open the door in a few seconds.
