Speaker advice from audiophiles

I have a Pioneer headunit and I just put a 50w x 4 channel amp on my front speakers only. The stock speakers are 2ohm, headunit's are designed for 4ohm speakers, so they usually distort.

I would pick up the Alpine power pack - http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-KTP-445U-4-channel-Power-Amplifier/dp/B003VVYL46

This will sound 100x better than just throwing a set of 30 watt RMS speakers in. I just put a set of a Precision Power speakers that we 50 bucks in, and immediatly took them out because they sounded horrible. The stock speakers actually sound great with a REAL amplifier on them.

You are totally right. I forgot that I have my trim panels lined with deadener. That made a big difference. Also the two halves of the trim panel were kind of loose where they connect, so I took the panel off and used a combo of epoxy and sound deadener to make that joint tight. I was getting a lot of vibration there that sounded like distortion.

Stupid question. Will the Alpine power pack support a small under seat sub or would you need to have a second amp to power it? If so can someone draw up a quick diagram? Thanks.

most under seat subs are powered already, you just ned to run 12v and turn on wire from ignition and the audio signal. no, you generally wouldnt be able to power a sub from the power pack unless maybe you bridged 2 of the channels?
