speakers in 97 T4R???

hey i was wondering what size speakers go in the 97 limited 4x4 4runner

6.5" up front and 4" in back..

are you sure they are 4"s is the back??/ that seems super small to me and also to replace the stock speakers is there any brackets or anything i would need or do the stock locations work fine?

Yes they are 4" at least they are on my 2000.

With minor modification you can fit 5 1/4" in the rear doors...well worth your trouble.

the rears are 4 but with a spacer u can fit a 5 1/4 inch speaker there

are there spacers available to buy or is it something i would make custom for the car?

I'm sure you can buy them...can buy almost anything nowadays but I just used some mdf board to space it out a little.

BTW, I had a '97 T4R before this one...

go to a car audio shop dat does car audio/ car alarms, im sure u can buy them from them about 7 each i think

thanks guys, the i just bought the car but im up im college and its at home so im trying to do some research on the system im going to put in it, if i could see the car it would be much easier but u get the idea, one more question, i have an alpine mrv-f345 amp which is 75x4 rms and im trying to find some nice components for the front and some regular coaxials for the rear, ive been lookin at the alpine type-x, mbquart reference series, and infinity kappas. any ideas????

Actually I got some 6.5s in the back. It took some work and they finally fixed it today because it was hitting the panel, but they shaved down the door panel and now its great.
