Special order pricing??

What is the best pricing you have heard of when special ordering an 06 4Runner?

I was quoted $500 over invoice but when I recontacted the dealer they said it would actually be $1000 over invoice for a special order. Several dealers said the would not do a special order and several others said it would be at MSRP. So it looks like $1000 over is the best I have found so far.

Has anyone done any better? Thanks.

When I did a special order for my 2005 4Runner last January I was able to get $250 over invoice. This was through the Internet/Fleet Manager. Everything was negotiated through e-mails and I just had to go into the dealer to put a $500 deposit down, and pick up the truck when it arrived 3-1/2 months later. It just depends on the dealer and if they are willing to do a special order since it takes 3-4 months to arrive.

My story is almost the same as gpguy33.

I also went thru the Fleet/Internet Sales person. We agreed on the price over the phone and I put $500 down via a credit card.

The price on my special ordered my 4Runner was $500 over invoice plus I could use any rebates offered at the time of delivery, which was $2,500. :D

So I actually got it for $2,000 under invoice. :awais:

special order pricing??

Thanks guys.

I would be ordering in Socal as well. Which dealer did you use?

Where you able to get all the options the as you wanted them or did you have to stick with certain "preference packages"?

If you're planning to special order, just get it the way you want it. it'll take a few months but atleast you can get what you want.

Check out Diane @ Carson Toyota as she does volumes of special orders.

Good luck!
