Specs on 2004 JBL stereo?

I'm looking to upgrade the stereo in my 2004 Sport. Its currently got the high-end JBL system with the rear audio and all the goodies, but its lacking a little in the low end. I'm thinking about just buying another 8" subwoofer and an amp and using all the stock mounting locations, but I'd like to know what its got currently. I know it has an 8" woofer, but does anybody know how much power is going through it? Also, does anybody know what the crossover points to the different speakers are?

This information would be very useful, if anybody knows it or knows where I could find it that would be awesome.

I'm not sure if you can mount an aftermarket sub in the stock location. The stock sub is kind of wimpy & the mounting depth is pretty shallow (I could measure if you want).

The amplifier pictured powers all the speakers so you would need to keep that in place.

There is another thread in this forum with a picture of the whole assembly removed. I'm not sure about the power to the sub or the crossover frequency.
I've got a simple setup right now where I used the high-level speaker leads to the stock subs for my high-level inputs in my sub amplifier. I used the outlet plug in the back for the remote turn-on wire. Not exactly state of the art but adequate for now.

If you could measure the depth of the inclosuse that would be awesome, I have a feeling that the box that the woofer is in would not be of enough volume for a good subwoofer anyway. Well I kind of wanted to avoid having a large box in the back there, but I guess I'll have to make do. Do you know if the rear speakers get a full range signal, and they're not cut off at the bottom where a subwoofer would need?

The rear speakers (the surround pods in the back) are crossed over at some high frequency because I could not get any signal to my sub amp but they did with a full-range amp.
I'm not with my 4runner right now but I remember that the depth of the stock sub is 3 15/16" measured from the back mounting surface to the end of the magnet. If you look at that picture, you'll see that the magnet fits in that circular slot so that's pretty much all there is.

some guys have the JL stealthbox. If you have some cash, it sounds great and doesn't take up the entire cargo area. I just got a message to call the stereo shop about mine. If I get it, I will take some pics.
