Speedometer and ODO not working, VSC, Trac, and ABS lights on

A friend of mine bought an 02 4R a few months ago. The speedo and odo weren't working, and the VSC, trac, and ABS lights were lit. He replaced the ABS module with a unit he got from a junkyard, which got the speedo and odo working, but the lights remained lit, even after multiple attempts to perform a VSC calibration.
Today the speedo and odo quit working again. Does anyone have an idea for a fix for this? I find it odd that the replacement module would've went bad, unless there is another condition in the truck that is frying these modules. Any input or guidance would be appreciated!

Going through same thing, sounds like yours is instrument cluster, test the wiring.
Mine has other odd troubles, radio & moon roof, as well.
