Spent the weekend in the Mountains

I got to break in my Trail properly this weekend. Went to central Colorado with some friends we managed to get most the way up Mt. Antero. We made it about half the way up the switchback's at the top. There was a single snow drift in our way, from completing the trail. Here's a few pics I took, from the trail. Wish I could have spent more time out there, so much todo, only had 2 full day's, we were going to try Medano Pass but it was closed due to a forest fire.

I had a blast, well all but the switch backs, they kind of made me nervous.

Thanks! those are pretty much all I took. A friend that was riding in the FJ in front of me has a few of me fording the creek! Just waiting for him to get them to me.

They were great! on the trip out I had forgot to check the air pressure, the dealer that had put them on for me had them at 40psi, I lowered them to 32psi and it smoothed the ride out. I got about 20mpg avg over the entire 1600 mile trip. We hit some serious head winds coming back, else I may have gotten 22mpg.

Dude, I think those are the first water-fording pics with a TE! It's not super deep, but it takes some nerve to drive a new ride through a creek :lookout:

I was up there last year to summit via foot. There was still a ton of snow, we did not drive up nearly that far. I am surprised you were able to go that far up this early in the summer. Anyway, very cool, gotta love CO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, from what the rangers said there was a dust storm that caused the snow cap's to melt rapidly this year. The Arkansas River was at 10ft above flood stage when we got there, due to all the snow melting

Very cool, good to see you fancy 5th gen owners arnt afraid to get your trucks dirty! I love CO but havent made it out there in a few years. We did Medano Pass last time it was fun but narrow and I have some natural pinstriping to show it.
