Spidertrax On Stock 4R

Hey all.
Just received my 1 1/4" Spidertrax spacers and want to put them on now. I will be installing an OME lift in the next month or so, waiting for the weather to get a little better.
If I install them now will I get rubbing? It's really not a big deal, I'll just wait for the lift if it's going to rub.

On another note, what is the best way to torque them and keep the hub from moving?

You have to have someone apply the brakes while you torque them down. It even says that in the Spidertrax directions so I don't really think there is a better way.

Lock the center diff in low range. With the vehicle in park, assuming you do 1 wheel at a time, you should be able to tighten it up...

I understand wheel spacers in the context of lifts, non-stock rim fitment etc. What advantage are they for an otherwise stock vehicle? I can guess it may handle/ride a touch better due to the 2.5 inch wider track. I can also see how tie-rods and ball-joints could be stressed more than usual. Do the benefits outweigh the downsides? Do spacers equate to front end components lasting 60k instead of 120k?

Haven't opened them up yet so couldn't look at directions. Just trying to do some pre-planning.

Personally that is a definite worry of mine. But lots of others run wheel spacers or wheels that have about the same offset and I really haven't seen any threads/posts of premature wear of bearings, ball joints or tie rod ends.
Probably not what you're looking for, but only time will tell.
Perhaps someone that has been running spacers or offset wheels for some time could reply.
