ok folks, I think the stock wheels are a little inset and would look better flush on my TE. What are the disadvantages of these? Dangerous? unsprung weight?

Toyota Hub Centric Wheel Spacer Kit

I don't know about dangerous. I think at most you are going to induce premature wear on the wheel bearings, since the load is being moved off the axis for which they were designed. But how much wear and how expensive that will be is unknown. I don't think it would be enough for me to worry about.

You might also slam the edge of the tire into the fender at full compression but there is really only one way to find out.

I'm running them, when turning the tires now rub the mud flap a little. They also rubbed the plastic fender liner up front, but I just slotted the attachment holes on the bottom like everyone has done and moved it forward a little. Now only rubs the mud flap, my lift will fix that eventually. I do have different tires also, so that could be the issue as well. I bought mine at Wheelersoffroad, after shipping mine came to $211 and change.

I'm going to get them sometime soon and stick with my stock Limited tires for now. I think the wider stance will look good, and mayby in a couple years when i am ready to get new tires, someone will be making a 265/55/20 tire.
