Spidertrax Wheel Spacers

New SR5 owner here.

Wondering about the use of these or any spacers and any issues with them.....specifically any premature wear on suspension parts.

I've always thought that by spacing out your wheels, you introduced greater forces on ball joints, suspension, etc.

I'd like to push the stock wheels out a bit and noticed that some of you have used these particular spacers.

Thanks

I just had mine put on yesterday with a set of Ultra guantlets. Not sure about premature wear, but it sure looks moch better.

I guess I figured that some of the folks using spacers had used them before on other toyota trucks/4R's. I'm sure it's probably a bit early to see any issues on the new 4R, but you never know.

If wheels are spaced out from their stock position, then I would think that this would put more stress on certain suspension items....at least put more stress on areas that were not designed for it.

That's not to say that there isn't a bit of overkill in the suspension design, anyway.

I'm sure that there are toyota vehicles out there that have done a lot of on and off road use and are using spacers.

On the toyota120 forum there are hundreds of people using spacers, some even on 5th gen's. I have some on the way for my 03. Can't wait. No talk of extra suspension wear. the suspension's pretty beefy, so I wouldn't be too worried about it. Someone here with more knowledge can put their input. if not, check toyota120.com. folks are pretty knowledgeable there too.
