Spidertrax with 285's?

Ive done a lot of researching and can't find a clear answer. I have a 2005 Limited 4wd and i will be installing a Toytec Ultimate Lift and a set of FJ Cruiser 6 spoke wheels. Needless to to say i'll need new shoes, i've decided on the Firestone Destination A/T's. Now do i have to run Spidertrax to fit 285/70r17's to prevent rubbing the UCA or is that only on the 06-09 models? my other option would be 255/75r17's but for almost the same price why not get the little bit bigger tire if the spidertrax are not required.

With 285's on fj wheels, chances are you will rub the UCA. There is no difference between the 03-05 vs 06-09 in relation to suspension.

Is there a reason why you don't want to run spidertrax spacers?

Either get Spidertrax or aftermarket UCAs. I rubbed my UCA with 275s.

I'm now running 35s with Spidertraxx and still OEM UCAs
