Has anyone ordered their spoiler from Spoiler Depot? I ordered from them because in the picture there is a difference in the tail light placement from the others I have seen. So I get it today and it looks like all the others???

Hm..interesting. So does the spoiler have the the light on the face of it and not on the underside? Can you post a picture of it?

I also ordered from spoilerdepot.com. Mine has the LED tail on the underside just as the website shows. Here is a pic

Yup that is what I thought I was getting, but the light is on the face of the spoiler. Really disappointed about it. They have not responded to emails so so I might try calling the 800 number today.

Is your spoiler possibly the new style with the bump across the top? I think it is the 2005 spoiler, but not sure. Mine is the 2004 style.

So I got a call back from Spoiler Depot. I guess they no longer carry the one on the website. He said the manufacturer could not keep up with the demand.

I want a spoiler and it already here so I will live with this one

I checked out spoilerdepot.com and I would like to buy one from them. Are you all happy with their product? If so, how did the mounting go? Any rust issues so far? Lastly, if you were to purchase a new one again, would you use them again or would you purchase through your local dealer? I have an '03.

Any recommendations?

My only complaint was I wanted the spoiler they had on the website, it is a little different from the stock 05.

I actually asked 2 of the dealers here and they said they did not sell spoilers for the 4runner?

I have had no issues with rust and the install was pretty easy once you get over the fact you are drilling into your 4runner.

The SpoilerDepot version looks like the 2003-04 models without the hump and the third brakelight is slightly different, mounted underneath rather than on the face. I don't think there's a hump version like the 2005+. If you want the Toyota one, try talking to a bodyshop and see if you can get it through them. There are replacement parts for the spoiler.

The OEM painted spoiler is $484, plus third brake lamp unit is another $120. It's about $600 for the OEM route. The SpoilerDepot route is $200 painted, which is the same cost as the OEM from the factory.

That is the picture on the Spoiller Depot site but it is not what they are shipping (when I ordered). I also called spoiler depot and he said the manufacturer (the one that is pictured) could not keep up with demand so he switched. The one they are shipping is exactly like the OEM version. This was almost 2 months ago so maybe they have switched back to the one pictured but I would call first.
