To be on the safe side, I would say annoyingly bright! Sorry that was a hard question to answer but I guess I will wait for the first 10 to comment on their kit and tell you what it is on the brightness scale:thumb3:

I was told by several people(people that requested it) that it allows for better vision at night while not allowing people to see you when the light is turned on

The red map lights are convenient because your eyes don't have to adjust before or while driving. I used to be a police officer and they had red map lights installed in our cars for this reason.

If I am correct, your 2nd gen only has 2 dome lights and one map light assembly in the front? I checked out a 2nd gen on the way home today so good timing! Let me know! A spot on the second group buy list is reserved for you:drummer:

That would be awesome! And after the night time shots of these bulbs installed, I will send out payment requests to the first 10 buyers on the list:lookout: But! Not before I critique the bulbs and I am 10000% happy with the quality!

My test vehicle for the 3rd gen map lights will be a gx470! Sorry guys I could not get a hold of my friend's 3rd gen today but it should be the same output no matter what car:reddance:

My next question, who is excited? The top row of bulbs is the map light for the 4th gen, bottom row is the map lights for the 3rd gen! Essentially the same bulb setup with different inputs

You don't by chance have access to bulbs that would replace the back up lights for a 3rd gen do you? I think they are a 921 size bulb

I feel like I owe everyone these pictures with the full setup! Aka 2 dome lights and 2 map lights! I believe the map lights are the best match out of all the ones that I tried out for the kit, but I am still scared that some people may not think the same so I decided to post pictures of the setup without the bulbs getting in the way of the camera but showing the ambience and improved lighting from the outside! Sorry for nagging I just want to make sure everybody is happy!

Windows rolled down and doors open! Back row looks dark because of the privacy tint, which is why I took a picture from the trunk area! Is everyone happy? I want to be sure before I ship them out! I sent payment requests to the 4th gen buyers because their kit components have been completely worked out! Sorry to the 3rd gen crowd, working and doing my best!:hiding:

Ignore the door lights! Those are from superbrightLEDs! The door lights will match the map lights that come with the kit
